1. Registration.

You must have a user’s account to use take advantage of the ShareTheMusic.com offer. To register on the website use form available in the Register tab or at the address http://www.sharethemusic.com/register

In the E-mail field, insert exact address of your electronic mail. Address given by you must have between 3 and 20 characters. Given Login can have all alphanumeric characters and special characters like: „-”, „.”, „_”, „$”.

Password must be in range between 5 and 20 of the alphanumeric characters. Additionally, except the alphanumeric characters, your Password may contain following special characters: „-”, „.”, „_”, „$”, „#”, „,”.

To register correctly, all fields of the registration form must be filled properly and ShareTheMusic.com rules must be red and accepted.

To authorize Your personal data, link to ShareTheMusic.com full account activation will be send on the email address given during registration. If registration has succeeded, confirmation message of the ShareTheMusic.com account activation will be send on the user’s email address.

2. Password reminding

To remind the password to Your account on the ShareTheMusic.com website, use password recovery form available at the http://www.sharethemusic.com/login/pass .

After entering correct email address, a message confirming correctness of entered email address with link to generate new password will be send on your account.

New password will be automatically sent in next message on Your email account.

3. User data

Every user of the ShareTheMusic.com site should provide own personal data, informing other users i.e. where are you from, how old are you or what are your interests.

To do so, you must be logged in and use My Profile link. Next, go to Edit / Profile / Details.

Except information, you can also upload Your photo. Each of these actions is promoted and awarded with points. More information how to promote Your profile you can find at http://www.sharethemusic.com/help/points

To change the access password, go to Change password tab.

1.Each user has a right to change own preferences, such as:

• Notify me about new messages in the inbox
• Notify me about adding my profile to favorites
• Notify me about new comments to my profile

To do so go to the Edit profile tab

4. Creating groups (private/public).

To create a Group in the service, go to http://www.sharethemusic.com/groups/create .

To find it, click Community, then choose Group tab. On the right is button NEW GROUP.

To add group, give name, choose group type (private group or public group) and choose group language. As an option, it is worth to add the group comment.

Public group – group available to everyone in the ShareTheMusic community.

Private group – this group is available only to chosen users of the ShareTheMusic. Group creator or moderators are defining who can join the private group.

5. How to join the group

To join the group, go to the group you found interesting and click JOIN THE GROUP button.

In public group, we have full rights straight away and we can take part in the group community.

In turn, in private group, after clicking the button we have to wait until administrators will add us to the list of the group members. Regarding the fact that we were added to the members list, we will be notified by the message send to our mailbox.

6. Group administration.

Right to administer group, both private and public has only creator of the group, owners and moderators.

To administer the group go to group site, then to Administration tab.

Details (changing the group data).

Here you can edit data given during group registration and additionally add the picture of the group.

News.

News tab is a place where all the News messages are waiting for authorization.

Users.

In tab Users is a panel for group users’ administration. Here, group administrators can accept new users (private groups) and add any authorization to the users of given group.

7. Special buttons

– selecting given key, you informs that you like this artist, album or track. After clicking it will change into informing that you like this artist, album or track.

– selecting this key you informs that you do not like this artist, album or track. After clicking it will change into , informing that you don’t like this artist, album or track

Above-mentioned keys are present both on website (tracks lists, on the artists sites and artists records) and in ShareTheMusic application.

After clicking on above special keys, lists of liked and disliked artists, tracks or albums are created on your profile. Each user of the ShareTheMusic service may see what your music taste is and you will be able to save the list of favorite artists to listen their tracks again without any delay.

In every moment, you can freely modify favorites list or delete it completely. To do so, go to our profile, clicking My Profile, and next go to Favorites tab. – play list – this key is for adding given track to the playlist. After clicking it window will open where you can create new playlist or add track to already existing one.

Thank to this solution you can choose your favorite songs and add to ShareTheMusic Player by one clicking. Your playlists can be modified - you just need to enter your profile and choose Playlists.

Additional advantage, beside that for every created playlist we give you precious points, each ShareTheMusic user may also use your collection and discover your music taste.

– this icon appears on the lists of artists, albums or tracks. If given icon will appear by the chosen artist, it means that no one has shared his tracks yet. The same concerns albums.

8. Special buttons Add to player, Play

Add to player – button tells us that given track has already been shared in our service.

In case of appearing of such icon by the album means that all or part of tracks assigned to the given album were previously shared in the ShareTheMusic service.

Using Add to Player button, we can add given album to the ShareTheMusic Player playlist. When given track will appear in our service (at least one person will share the track and will be online) we will be able to listen to the song.

Play – when Play button appears by the given track it means that track is shared in the service by at least one user. After clicking the button, we are sure the ShareTheMusic Player will play that given track.

By analogy as in case of tracks list, Play button appears by the albums. At the moment of appearing of such button by the album, it means that at least one track from the list of tracks in given album we are able to play.

9. How to open a track/album.

The best way to find a track or whole album is to use a search engine available on the site. Next, it is worth to sort the results list, selecting to show only those tracks or albums shared on the website. Two check boxes are designed for that.

10. Report an error

To report an error on the ShareTheMusic.com site use a form available in the Contact section. Addressee of such messages is Customer Service Department. It is essential also to enter correctly all fields of the contact form.

This is an example of correctly filled form.

An error can be either incorrectly displayed graphics or wrong information inserted by Users or us. Please, inform us about breaking of regulation terms, too.

All of your reports will be verified and those who help us make our mark better will be rewarded by points.

11. Randomizer

Randomizer is a set of the music channels. Each Randomizer channel contains list of thematically connected music tunes, shared by Our service users. To use the Randomizer, you must have installed the ShareTheMusic Pack application. Then, after clicking any Randomizer channel, ShareTheMusic Player will open automatically. Tunes from the set of a given channel are randomly played without interference of the user.
